an introduction

I suppose I should introduce myself. I am Kez (decided not use my full name > sorry stalkers/perverts go look somewhere else); a British South African on the verge of something that's either amazing or catastrophic. I'm writing this blog because I want perspective which is cliche maybe but hey sometimes cliche just means you've got it mainstream for once. I don't profess to be a writer, in fact i'll warn you now my grammar and punctuation will be sporadic :) <<<>

Let's jump straight in then. I'm screwed! I've recently been told that I am classifies as an international student so I would be paying 12 000 pounds a year at university. Unless i win the lottery or inherit huge amounts of money anytime soon, I can't afford that. I've been in the country for 2 years and i applied to uni thinking that the three year rule applied, SURPRISE! it doesn't, they tell me this after I get their offer.

So now I have declined all my offers and decided to take three years and try again when i'm a UK citizen. This blog is to document my endeavours (? can't spell) to remain sane. By the way I was going to study biomedical science, so it's not like i just did any A-level and jumped into some wishywashy degree. 3 years is a long time...

so far i have a vague plan for the first year:

1. do a roadtrip with Michelle (south african friend) in South Africa
1.1 Where i will learn to surf/ windsurf
1.2 see all my old school friends :)

2. visit thailand
3. work a lot to afford all this (saved quite a bit already actually)

other ideas (supplimented by friends):

1. join the army
2. join the circus
3. learn a language i.e. french, kantonese
4. take an art class

5. take a pottery class (hopefully followed by a scene from ghost)
6. get adopted by a british citizen > have no idea if that will actualy work
7. try the whole work-at-a-camp-america thing

I have this almost urgent need to travel and see what there is to see, but right now i just have to get through my last exams> maths, chemistry and biology
